Biography
Manach Seherath is a Symphonic Heavy Metal band from Italy, whose name in a dead ancient language means 'to draw from the source'. This cryptic phrase, with all that it hides, is well representative of the marriage of heavy rhythms with epic keyboards and mysterious lyrics, which together make the trademark of M.S. sound: a modern Heavy Metal which doesn't forget the gloomy lessons of the past.
The project took the first steps in summer 2012, when Mich Crown (vocals) decided to back on stage with a brand new band. The first one to join was the talented Cyrion Faith (keyboards), though, because of his other music commitments, just as a session musician. November had come and with it, after a series of auditions, Lemur Mask (drums) and Minus Karma (guitar). This four-piece combo started the composition of its first songs, while searching for a proper bass player. February 2013 brought new exiting news: Lukas Blacksmith (bass) was recruited and Cyrion decided to become an official member of the band. With a solid ensemble and two songs ready, it was time to choose a name, representing properly the band dark and epic sound. Cyrion said: "I know a phrase from an ancient language who could describe it all". During Summer 2013 the first Demo was recorded and released and the first gig played. In December, due to personal reasons, Lemur Mask left the band. Manach kept on playing and composing as a four-piece until, in Summer 2014, Carlo Chiappella (drums) gained the place behind the drums. The following Spring was the turn of Minus Karma to leave the group for health reasons, and in the summer of 2015 Manach recruited Joe Dardano (guitar), replaced in July 2016 by Gianluca Gagliardi. Finally in Winter 2016-2017 the first full length, ‘Timeless Tales’, was recorded, although, due to troubles of different nature, it could be released only one year later. Since 2018 the only official members of Manach have been Mich and Cyrion.

Manach Seherath e’ un gruppo italiano di Heavy Metal sinfonico, il cui nome in un’antica lingua morta significa ‘attingere alla sorgente’. Questa frase criptica, con tutto ciò che nasconde, e’ ben’ rappresentativa del matrimonio di ritmiche pesanti con tastiere epiche e testi misteriosi, che insieme costituiscono il marchio di fabbrica del suono dei M.S.: un Heavy Metal moderno che non dimentica le cupe lezioni del passato.
Il progetto mosse i suoi primi passi durante l’estate 2012, quando Mich Crown (voce) decise di tornare in scena con un nuovo gruppo. Il primo ad aderire fu il talentuoso Cyrion Faith (tastiere), anche se solo come turnista, a causa di altri suoi impegni musicali. Giunse novembre e con esso, dopo una serie di audizioni, Lemur Mask (batteria) e Minus Karma (chitarra). Questo quartetto, mentre ancora in cerca di un bassista adatto, comincio’ la composizione dei primi brani. Febbraio 2013 porto’ nuove eccitanti notizie: Lukas Blacksmith (basso) fu reclutato e Cyrion decise di diventare un membro ufficiale del gruppo. Con una solida formazione e due canzoni pronte, era tempo di scegliere un nome, che rappresentasse adeguatamente il suono oscuro ed epico della band. Cyrion disse: ”Conosco una frase di un’antica lingua che potrebbe descriverlo”. Durante l’estate 2013 fu registrata e pubblicata la prima demo e fatta la prima serata. A dicembre, per motivi personali, Lemur Mask lascio’ il gruppo. I Manach continuarono a suonare e comporre in quattro fino a che, nell’estate 2014, Carlo Chiappella (batteria) guadagno’ il posto dietro alle pelli. La successiva primavera fu Minus Karma a lasciare il gruppo per motivi di salute, e nell’estate 2015 i Manach reclutarono Joe Dardano (chitarra), sostituito nel luglio 2016 da Gianluca Gagliardi. Finalmente nell’inverno 2016-2017 ‘Timeless Tales’, il primo album completo, fu registrato, sebbene a causa di problemi di varia natura pote’ essere pubblicato solo un anno dopo. A partire dal 2018, gli unici membri effettivi dei Manach sono Mich e Cyrion.
